Where to park
Slough Borough Council run four pay and display, two pay on exit and three free car parks throughout Slough. Many of these car parks are located within close proximity of the town centre with access to the shopping centre, train and bus station.
To balance the needs of residents, local businesses and other groups who require access to parking, Slough Borough Council issues various permits for on and off-street parking.
Blue badge permits provide parking concessions if you have severe mobility problems and have difficulty using public transport. Blue badge holders can either be the driver or the passenger of a vehicle they are travelling in.
Who can have a blue badge?
Mandatory blue badge
You qualify for a mandatory blue badge without any assessment if you are over two years old and you:
are registered as blind
receive a higher rate mobility component of the Disability Living Allowance
receive the ‘enhanced’ mobility component of Personal Independence Payments
receive a War Pension Mobility Supplement.
Discretionary blue badge
You will need to complete a self-assessment (which is part of the blue badge application form) to prove you are eligible for a discretionary blue badge if you are:
over two years of age and have a permanent and substantial disability which means you cannot walk, or makes walking very difficult
drive a motor vehicle regularly, have a severe disability in both arms, and are unable to or would find it difficult to operate all or some types of parking meter

All PCNs are issued in line with the Traffic Management Act 2004. We are not able to discuss PCNs in person or by the telephone. Any enquiries must be put in writing so we have an audit trail of all correspondence and the reasons behind any decisions made. More details can be found at Slough’s parking enforcement policy.

If your challenge is unsuccessful and the council upholds the PCN, you will be given the opportunity to pay the discounted rate as long as it is received within 14 days of the date of our letter of reply.
If your challenge is sent between 15 and 28 days after the PCN issue date the full penalty charge will apply.
