
Nene Park – Car Parks
Nene Park is a large area of parkland to the west of Peterborough and is the region’s favourite place to get outdoors and enjoy nature. It is made up of six different areas: Ferry Meadows, Orton Meadows, Orton Mere, Thorpe Meadows, and Thorpe Wood, made up of parkland, meadows, woodlands, and lakes. The River Nene runs through all the areas connecting them together.

Annual Parking Membership
Purchase your Thorpe Meadows and Orton Mere Annual Parking Membership here.
Purchase an annual parking membership permit for just £50.00. Available for use at Thorpe Meadows and Orton Mere Car Parks. The annual parking membership is virtual.
Your annual parking membership helps to support the work Nene Park Trust does to maintain, nurture and develop these much-loved Park areas. Income generated from parking charges and annual memberships goes directly into future plans to care for and maintain these beautiful greenspaces for all visitors to enjoy.

To access these discounts, please purchase a 12-month permit and take the confirmation email along with a form of identification to the Visitor Centre & Gift Shop in Ferry Meadows where you’ll be supplied with a membership card. You will need to show this membership card each time you wish to take advantage of the membership benefits above.

Ferry Meadows
Ferry Meadows is the ideal place for a family day out and one of the largest country parks in the region. Situated less than three miles from Peterborough city centre, at the heart of Nene Park, its varied landscapes make it the favourite destination for thousands of visitors throughout the year.
Orton Meadows
Located at the main gateway to Ferry Meadows, Orton Meadows is accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles at all times and is home to Rutland Cycling Superstore, Nene Golf, and Pitch & Putt as well as the Granary Pub, a Premier Inn, and Notcutts Garden Centre.
Orton Mere
Orton Mere connects Ferry Meadows to Thorpe Meadows and boasts lakes and open spaces for recreation. With an avenue of trees to guide your way, why not visit Orton Mere as an alternative gateway to the Park?
Thorpe Wood
Patrons to American Golf, Thorpe Wood Golf Club, and the Woodman Public House – may obtain a parking concession via the parking tablet within each establishment and do not need to pay for parking.
Thorpe Meadows
Thorpe Meadows is accessible to pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles at all times and is home to Nene Park’s purpose-built rowing lake, riverside walks, and a sculpture collection.
