Tariffs
Parking is free across Ninewells Hospital. If parking in a short stay car park then you must collect a ticket from the machine within the car park and have it clearly and fully displayed. Short stay car park users must also adhere to time restrictions listed on signage.
Concessions
Disabled Parking: Disabled parking bays can be found close to the entrance to the Hospital beside the drop-off and pick-up areas in Car Park 7. Car Park 7 is a short stay car park dedicated for disabled patients and visitors. When using Car Park 7 you must remember to pick-up a free ‘collect and display’ ticket and ensure that it is clearly displayed in your vehicle. Maximum stay four hours with no return within four hours.
Parent and child parking: There are limited spaces at the far end of Car Park 7 for parent and child parking. All vehicles must clearly display a free ‘collect and display’ parking ticket.
Car Parks 14 and 15: These car parks are mixed use for both patient,visitors and staff permit holders.
Parking assistance and mobility services: If you require close access to the hospital for a patient who requires assistance (for either arrival or departure) then you should use the admissions entrance on Level 6, James Arrot Drive, which is clearly signposted on entering the hospital from the west entrance via Charleston Drive. Please note this entrance should be used only where specific patient assistance is required. There is a shuttle bus service available on weekdays from 09:00 to 17:00 between Car Park 9, the multi-storey car park and the main entrance. On request it also runs to and from the Tayside Orthopaedic and Rehabilitation Technology Centre, East Block and Maternity/Childrens Hospital entrances. Patients and visitors can also use the mobility scooter and wheelchair service by contacting 01382 645030.
Purchases
Long stay car parks do not require tickets to validate parking. Short stay parking tickets can be obtained from machines within the car park for free. Refer to signage to confirm if a ticket is required.
Blue Badge Holders
Blue badge holders can park in designated blue badge bays. Your valid blue badge must be displayed at all times. If using a Collect and Display car park then you must have a valid ticket displayed.
Motorcyle Parking
Motorcycle bays can be found on Level 1 of Car Park 8 (MSCP) only.
